Tur beskrivelse:

Croatia has amazing National Parks – and two of our favourites are the Plitvice Lakes National Park and the North Velebit National Park.

The 10km ridge-line walk in North Velebit affords stunning views over the islands of Pag, Rab and Krk, as well as the karst country of the Lika region as it stretches towards Bosnia. Rastoke Village is known as Little Plitvice for the small waterfalls which flow through it powering the historic flour mills.

Trout are abundant in the streams and make for an excellent lunch. The fish-filled, forest-surrounded Plitvice Lakes are an UNESCO-protected heritage site and a highlight of a visit to Croatia for many. Thousands of litres of water pour over the ever-enlarging waterfalls into the 16 crystal-clear Lakes. Hike for 4 hours around them and through the heavily wooded forests.
